DESCRIPTION:**Public Welcome** \nPlease note: “The City of Newburyport Announces Emergency Order for Face Coverings in the Downtown District“.  Bartlet Mall is in the Downtown District. Visitors to the field should also continue to practice social distancing by remaining at least 6 feet away from others. \nSeptember 9-17\, 2020\nBartlet Mall\, Newburyport\, MA 01950 \nA characteristic New England town\, Newburyport blends seaside location with its long history to provides a striking sight for the Exchange Club’s 11th Annual Field of Honor® display of more than 300 United States Flags flying atop 7½ white poles. These flags tell the stories of veterans\, those on active duty\, first responders\, and all those who by their actions have become heroes in our lives. \nThe Newburyport Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations\, sponsorships\, and the efforts of dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and thanks by sponsoring a flag or making a donation. Flags sponsored for $40 may be picked up at the conclusion of the display to be retained as mementos of the inspiring event. Visiting the display is open to all without charge. \nWalking amid the formation of flags becomes an experience hard to explain\, but never to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Newburyport Field of Honor® display and walk with us among the posted flags.
