16th Annual Field of Honor®
For more information about the Dedication and Remembrance Ceremony Sunday September 7 from 12-1, please see this event entry.
The Exchange Club of Greater Newburyport is excited to host our 16th annual Field of Honor® Wednesday September 3 through Friday September 12. The Field of Honor is a moving display of hundreds of American flags installed on Bartlet Mall in Newburyport. This event is free and open to the public both day and night – the field is illuminated during nighttime hours. One of the event’s highlights is the Dedication and Remembrance Ceremony held on Sunday September 7th.
The Field of Honor provides the community with an opportunity to recognize those who serve in the military, members of our police and fire departments, first responders, healthcare workers, essential workers, personal heroes – anyone who has served the community by demonstrating kindness, goodwill, and caring by putting the needs of others ahead of their own needs.
Support from the community is essential to allow the Exchange Club of Greater Newburyport to complete charitable projects in the areas of Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities, and the Prevention of Child Abuse. Every year we support local organizations and programs including scholarships for high school seniors at Newburyport, Pentucket, and Triton, recreational events for residents of adult group homes, coffee hours for Veterans, Wreaths Across America, Community Service Newburyport, First Parish Newbury Food Pantry, Maris House, the Salvation Army, and the Michael B. Christensen Community and Family Support Center.
Donations to dedicate a flag can be made online at xcnbptflags.com. Order forms are also available at the display.
