We want to thank our sponsors and everyone in the Greater Newburyport community who supported and participated in this year’s Field of honor. We are grateful for the continuing support, kindness, caring, and generosity of our community that allows to help and serve those in our community who are in need.

Despite the rain during this year’s remembrance ceremony, this was an especially memorable Field of Honor marking the 17th year the Exchange Club has hosted the event, the 250th anniversary of the founding of our country, the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, and the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Exchange Club of Greater Newburyport.

With the generous support from our community – both sponsors and individuals – we have dedicated over 3500 flags over these 17 years to recognize and memorialize heroes in our community and across the country. In addition, we have raised funds that the Exchange Club uses to support charitable programs and activities in out community including scholarships for high school seniors at Newburyport, Pentucket, and Triton, recreational events for residents of adult group homes, coffee hours for Veterans, Wreaths Across America, Community Service Newburyport, First Parish Newbury Food Pantry, Maris House, Emmaus, the Salvation Army, and the Michael B. Christensen Community and Family Support Center.
