Member Merle Forney passed away on August 13.   Despite relocating to assisted living facilities in Hanover, PA, Merle remained a member. He joined our club to promote his “Kids as Peacemakers” mural program in which young people painted their visions of peace onto 4’x8’ sheets of plywood for exhibition around Greater Newburyport. The program was selected in 2006 as the National Exchange Club’s “Outstanding Youth Project.” Merle and Stu Deane accepted the award at the National Convention in Orlando.
