At our March lunch meeting, the Exchange Club was fortunate to have Carole Appleton – the general chair of this year’s Yankee Homecoming committee – join the club and discuss plans for this year’s ‘Home Sweet Home’ themed event. The Exchange Club has hosted a few different Yankee Homecoming events through the years – most recently the Kids Day in the Park event that takes place at Atkinson Common on the Wednesday during Yankee Homecoming. The Newburyport Yankee Homecoming  is the longest-running continuous Yankee Homecoming festival in the US, held annually since 1958.
